In 1983 half brothers Henry McCollum at 19 and Leon Brown at 15 were wrongfully convicted of rape and murder of an 11 year old girl. 30 years later they are finally released when new DNA evidence was found.
Back in 83' though both had confessed to the crime even though they had not committed it. It was found that both are mentally disabled.
The true criminal turned out to be a known sex offender who was never questioned and lived a block away from the crime scene.
The writer also included an interview. He also spoke right to the point. This was published September 5th.

This is a sad story. These men had to go through so much just so the actual guilty man could get away with doing more terrible crimes
ReplyDeletewow you would think they would look at sex offenders around he neighborhood instead of trying to convict innocent people.
ReplyDeleteWow! I know there's a lot going on in the world but, why did they wait so long to release them?
