Officials say a dangerous lava flow from Hawaii's Kilauea volcano that is threatening homes has slowed its advance, but residents still remain on alert. Officials said no residents have been asked to evacuate and that the flow does not pose an immediate threat. The nearest homes are about a mile from the flow, which could reach the residential area in about week. Residents remain under an "eruption warning" and are asked to be ready to evacuate.
So far everything seems to be going okay but from the way it sounds I feel like they maybe should be more urgent about the fact that there are houses only a mile away and all the families are still living their and going on with their lives like nothings coming. I feel they should take caution just to be safe and move away from their homes for now.
