Enterovirus Outbreak in the U.S - Veronica Nichols 2nd Period

The enterovirus is a serious respiratory condition that started in the midwest and has since spread across the country. Hospitals are working closely with the CDC and other agencies to stop the spread and treat those who have already been infected.
So far the CDC has confirmed 130 cases of children with the virus, of which no vaccine has been made yet. As of early last week there had been no adults infected and nobody infected had died.
Health officials are currently working toward understanding why this virus began in the midwest and what caused it to spread so rapidly.
