At Ithaca College, one student was killed, while another was shot in a fight on campus. The fight took place outside of the chemical and biomecular engineering building. The fight was also around 2 am. The victim was identified as 19 year old, Anthony Nazaire, from Brooklyn, New York. He was studying business at the university. Violence is a very large issue that has been around since the beginning of civilization. CNN news published the article, however, they have been asked not to release the name. The article is written as a purpose of informing people, and showing the effects of heavy violence. The article is trying to convey how a small fight can end up so fatal and tragically. In past ancient civilizations, whoever wanted the land would fight the person who occupied it. Often, they would kill whoever's land it was so that they could then inherit the land. Violence has been used as a way to get what you desire. I priorly knew that violence has recently been a large scale conflict on college campuses, including sexual harassment. The main idea of the article essentially is that violence is a major issue on college campuses and can lead to fatal tragedies.
