Summary: The factor that initially brought this matter back up what the fact that Paris and it's restaurants, shops, etc., at this time, should be filled with tourists, but ever since the terrorist attack that occurred 6 months ago, everything has been surprisingly quiet. The only really overwhelming group of people in these tourist filled locations are the military and police whose presence has grown increasingly stronger recently. It is to be noted that currently there is 10-15% people that will not set foot in a concert hall ever since the attacks. Despite this however, the city continues to get ready for up and coming events as well as keep an eye on the Salah Abdeslam case that is also taking place as we speak.
Analysis: Overall, I think it is a very unfortunate and sad thing what happened in Paris. I honestly hadn't realized it had only been 6 months. I mean, I know that for the US, 9/11 occurred 15 years ago and we are not and will not ever be able to go back to the way we were, as a country, before then. All my prayers go out to Paris and I hope they can find their way back to some form of normalcy soon. I know nothing will ever be able to change what happened on that unfortunate evening, but if anything, at least, it will help create a much stronger, united country. I really do hope Salah Abdeslam gets exactly what he deserves and even though it may not bring anyone back from the dead, it doesn't mean justice still can't be served on the Earth.

This is really unfortunate because the terror attacks not only succeeding in killing and scaring people, but they also succeeded in hurting France's economy and way of life. Hopefully, the country will recover soon from this setback, which would show a victory over the terrorists.
ReplyDeleteWow! This is very sad and I agree with the comment above because this is hurting the people mentally and physically but also hurting Paris economically.
