Krystal Lake, 22, of Staton Island, New York works at Home Depot and had a hat made that said "America Was Never Great" and wore it to work. People shared pictures of her on social media saying she was anti-America and needed to go back to Africa and that America was greater before Africans came. She said her hat was a direct opposition to Trump's "Make America Great Again" slogan because America was never great.
She is right because America and England have had the worst history of stuff they have done to their people or to other people after they became "civilized" and there is no one time when America was great because there has always been the people on top and the people on the bottom like the English vs the Natives, the upper class vs the middle class, owners vs slaves, segregation, nativists vs immigrants, women vs men, and other such things.
This is terrible that a woman was discriminated against because of her race and political beliefs. Even so, the woman should have known she was taking a risk, as people feel very strongly about their beliefs, which are not all the same as hers. As for the racial discrimination, there is no excuse for that.

America hasn't been great ever. We got this country from stealing land from Natives who had been here SO may years before us. Then we built on black slavery. And we still have structural racism.
