In a New York Rally for Bernie Sanders, Occupy Wall street is supporting Sanders. The similaries between the two groups allow Occupy to supoort Sanders. Occupy Wall Street foucuses on the economic inequality of the one percent and the 99 percent. Sanders campain has a large focus on economic inequality and how to fix it.

This is similar to how women supported the black rights movement and desegregation. They knew they both were oppressed and focused on black rights before their own because of how pressing the issue was. Women campaigned and worked hard to achieve more equality
