Recently at a state GOP convention in colorado they had a nominating process for the delegates that would represent colorado at the national convention. Now trump won the colorado primary and picked up a lot of the delegates. On the first ballot they have to vote for the candidate that won. As soon as it goes to a second or third ballot they can start switching allegiance to another candidate. These delegates are supposed to be able to be persuaded at the convention. What if those delegates came with there own predisposition to a specific candidate. In this case it's ted cruz who's benefitting from this delegate loophole. At this state convention those running advertise who their supporting and all 34 delegates nominated are cruz supporters. While I may not be a big fan of trump at all. Trump was cheated out of the delegates that he won. He won those delegates by getting more votes. Yet the democratic process was overturned by a private group voting for the entire states representation. This does corrupt our democracy. Don't even get me started on super delegates.
