Recently, a man named Robert Dear Jr. admitted to killing three people and injuring nine people at a Planned Parenthood in Colorado Springs. He killed a police officer, an army veteran, as well as a mother of two. Dear claimed that his reason for his attack was because he was upset the establishment performing abortions and "selling baby parts." Additionally, he was carrying several handguns/rifles that day and brought along improvised bombs. Dear was tested for mental illness but his results are confidential even though he will be going to a state hospital soon.
In January of 1973, the U.S. supreme court affirmed the legality of a woman's right to get an abortion. This case was called Roe v. Wade. I believe that this case helped women gain more rights tremendously. The man that committed this wrongful act should be ashamed because of how relevant abortion is in our society. A woman should never be denied the right to receive an abortion because events like rape can cause emotional stress and physical hatred.

ReplyDeleteHonestly if a women doesn't want to keep her child, it's her choice. What if she was raped and couldn't bare having the child because it reminds her of what happened?
