This relates to Guantanamo Bay, a naval base where potential terrorist have been stored and tortured in. Obama promised to close the institution, but has had no luck.

CIA Refuses to Waterboard by Andrew Witcher
The current CIA director John Brennan refuses to waterboard ever again, even if ordered by future presidents. Water boarding is a form of torture, where the victim is immobilized and has a cloth placed over there mount and nose and water is poured over top, simulating drowning. Several of the Republican presidential candidates wanted to bring waterboarding back, to draw information from potential terrorist.

ReplyDeleteThat is a terrible form of torture and I wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy. Why it was even a thing in the first place I will never understand. I don't care that there is a possibility of gaining information from using that, there has to be a better method for getting the same information. It's about time waterboarding becomes a thing of the past.
