A North Carolina lawmaker reportedly told the media that he believes his vote for anti-LGBT Bill was "wrong" and "hasty." Upon his reflection, he has come to realize that regardless of someone's sexual orientation, it she's not make them bad or wrong, and importantly, does not affect him in anyway.
In the United States, it had been historically difficult to change the minds of those who believe something so passionately regardless of reason. The final realization that people cannot always be generalized and that those who are different rarely affect those who are "normal". This realization has sparked many laws giving women and African Americans rights and effectively cause people to see discrimination with open eyes and open hearts.
