A long standing controversy has been floating around over wether or not Ted Cruz is eligible to run for president because he is not a naturalized U.S. citizen. According to the laws regarding running for president, candidates must've been born in the U.S. Cruz, being born in Canada, has American parents, creating contradicting ideas over what constitutes as a naturalized citizen. However, a verdict should breached soon after a New Jersey judge begins looking at the case.
I think this is ridiculous. Suppose Cruz was a good candidate, the rules should not be bent, especially for a man as crazy as him. This also seems very targeted. Trump has broken many existing rules of the typical presidential path, and has seen almost no backlash. I say both should be out.
This is very hypocritical because there was tons of "controversy" over where Obama was born, but I haven't heard a thing about where Ted Cruz was born.
