The FBI has a $25,000 award for those who can give information on a recent museum robbery. Seven Warhol paintings were stolen from an exhibit in Springfield, Missouri.
How does this happen? Of course the U.S. is no stranger to art robbery. Just four years ago, a Dali piece was stolen from a New York gallery, however that was a smaller gallery. These paintings were in one of Missouri's biggest museums, and seven paintings were stolen. I can't wrap my mind around this.
I am a big fan of Andy Warhol... but I don't think I will ever grasp how any painting can be worth thousands or millions of dollars.
