After another undefeated season, Bolt decides to finish early. These first eight months of this year, he has been working to get his times back down to Olympic speed after being injured. His main rival is Justin Gatlin, USA sprinter, but isn't worried because he defeated him in all of their races. He has dominated in all three of his events in the past three years. Bolt tweets, "I am already thinking about next year and the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio where I will attempt to defend my titles in the 100m, 200m, and 4x100m. I will enjoy a short break from training now to recharge before resuming background training next month." I do understand why he wants a break and believe he should take one. He has been running strong and deserves to take time off so he doesn't run out of gas. It's smart that he is not over working himself when he doesn't have to.

ReplyDeleteI don't think that Usain should be extremely confident about competing in the olympic games in several races if he's taking a break. He seems a little arrogant to me.
