This is downright outrageous to create this kind of labor is sickening to me. I personally hope the drivers effected by this, could reach a settlement or or win their case.

Uber Drivers Threaten to Sue Uber. By Nash Farmer
Uber, a service that tries to replace the idea of Taxis by making them cheaper and easier to work for, is being threatened by the drivers who make the business possible. The Drivers are mad about a few things. 1. Most drivers end up going to airports, they end up waiting in parking lots to get in but those parking lots cost money and they do not want to pay out of pocket for something the employer should cover. 2. Uber can give driver's loans to buy new cars, but the debt can be crippling leading to drivers being trapped in a job that they can't escape. This second one is what the threatened lawsuit might be over. Essentially what Uber has done is create a way for them to generate cheap labor. By putting interest on the loan and taking the payment out of a drivers check they make the labor cheep.

That's the thing about businesses like Uber. They know what troubles their employees will run into, but they decide not to address it until they complain, if at all.

This is really sad and shocking. I had no idea that Uber treated its drivers like that. I hope that the employees will win the case when it happens and that Uber and other companies will learn from this.
