Summary: Kim Davis is a Marriage Licence Clerk for the state of Kentucky. She has refused another same sex couple their licence, despite the Supreme Court ruling this summer, for the simple reason that her Apostolic Christian beliefs prevent her from supplying them their licence. Now she is due in federal court for this mutiny. Also she has inspired other clerks to refuse handing out licencees to other same sex couples.
Analysis: This mutiny is a vast squander of time. It is just completely and utterly useless. Because your religion has nothing to do with what the law says hence the Separation of Church and State. If she has a problem with it just fire her and someone who actually understands the Separation of Church and State.

I agree with you completely, I wrote about this subject earlier and we share views on this topic. One person's thoughts and "beliefs" shouldn't be getting in the way of others' happiness. She especially shouldn't be encouraging others to deny couples marriage licenses, hopefully they realize they could easily solve this by getting rid of her.

Hopefully she's learned her lesson about DOING HER FREAKING JOB! However, her hypocrisy is both amusing and satisfying. I haven't seen this much Bible editing since they started printing it in English. The fact she has been married four times, giving her three divorces, and has given birth to twins after she was divorced from husband 3, giving her two children born of wedlock, yet still chooses to uphold the false scripture about gay marriage baffles me! Picking and choosing isn't being religious. It's being a close-minded, narrow-headed, bigot, who doesn't understand when they have lost an argument. - Juliet Nelson

ReplyDeleteNot only that, but by law she can't refuse giving a licence to any couple as well. This may be agaisnt what she believes but you still have to follow what your job requires, regardless.
