Equal marriage laws

On June 26,2015 same sex marriage was legalized in all 50 states. Recently this month Kim Davis a county clerk took he religious beliefs into her job. Kim Davis denied a same sex couple their right to get married. Which caused her to have to force to resign and she was put in a Kentucky jail this past week.
Kim Davis had many churches make go fund me accounts to bail her out but in legal standards she is not allowed to receive any of this money.

I believe in this instance she deserved to receive an end to happiness for the fact she tried to stop two others happiness. Which they are legal to be able to receive legalized marriage. I understand that it is her religious beliefs but she signed up for this job and she knew what it intelled and to deny ones happiness is ridiculous. I believe God want all to be happy in their own way. This is sort of like how Anne Hutchinson was killed for her beliefs.

  1. I agree that she should not have let her own religious beliefs get in the way of someone else's marriage. This is why we have the separation of church and state, so that we can choose to belief whatever we want but not deprive that right for other people.

  2. Everyone should have a chance for happiness and the fact that she would deny a couple their right of marriage is rude and astounding. If she wasn't comfortable with the new laws she should have resigned immediately when the law was changed. I still cant believe that we all just can't get along.
