Desiree Smith (period 4) Massachusetts teen charged with encouraging her boyfriend to commit suicide

Summary: A teen is being charge with manslaughter for encouraging her boyfriend to commit suicide. Conrad Roy lll killed himself last year by carbon monoxide poisoning. Prosecutors say that his girlfriend was urging him to end his life right then and there. Her lawyer denied that she was pressuring to kill himself and that the judge should drop the case. Roy had a history of trying to commit suicide 2 years ago taking an overdose of painkillers. His girlfriend was sending him text to end his life. She claim that she only told him to kill himself because she knew he was going to try it aging the next day.

Analysis: this was published September 9, 2015. This crime happen in Massachusetts. Its so upsetting that she would even have the nerves to tell him to kill himself. Its so many suicides going on in this world that it takes everyone to step against suicides cases. This is written for everyone whether they are being pressure to commit suicide or know some one who is. This is both a positive and negative effect on everyone. Its written to stop suicide.

  1. I think suicide is a serious thing, but not a lot of people take it serious. This girl should not have encouraged her boyfriend to kill himself. She should have least tried and stop him.

  2. Even if she didn't really mean for him to take his life this just proves that we must think before we say anything because it can be taken the wrong way.
