An article, written by Gary Langer (http://news.yahoo.com/insider-vs-outsider-matchup-finds-clinton-trump-near-132512261.html), present a recent poll conducted by ABC News/Washington Post. The poll found that registered voters stand 46-43 percent Clinton-Trump. However, that small 3% difference is enough to account for an error in the poll.
In essence, the message of the poll is that Donald Trump not only has the possibility, but very high chance of becoming the next president of the U.S., the land of the not so free as we thought. What started as lighthearted political jokes and satirical twitter hashtags turned into a serious problem. Actually, it really is quite frightening. We are talking about a man who could potentially pull a 180 degree turn on every civil rights movement since the 1960's. He's publicly racist, publicly sexist, publicly homophobic, and yet he is tied for leading candidate. I'm sad people like him exist, but I'm further saddened that around half the country I live in think he would make a good president. And if he is elected, I fear for everyone who is not a white male in the 1%. God bless America, because it looks like we need it.
I, as well, am saddened by this possibility. Having gone to the DUMP TRUMP rally, and having seen how he is affecting Latin Americans, and being Latin myself, it's scary. It's terrifying actually, thinking I could be deported because my father is Ecuadorian, a factor that I, nor he, had control over. I encourage everyone to register, and vote, because with everyone voting against him we can win. SI SE PUEDE! YES WE CAN! - Juliet Nelson
