In Limpopo, South Africa, "Hundreds of wild animals including baboons, warthogs and antelope are due to be slaughtered in a 'driven hunt'". The animals are gathered into a 1.2 mile stretch of land and hunters will be waiting there to take "potshots" at the animals. "the plans for the driven hunt is certain to rekindle the controversy over the killing of wildlife for sport."
I am not a fan of this new event. We also have no way of ensuring a humane death or a clean shot. Also, these animals will not be used for meat or trophies, but will be riddled with lead. Tons and tons of animals will be killed just for the hunters entertainment.

I believe that the killing of these animals is going to lead to major problems that no one will no is coming. Animals were clearly put on this Earth for a reason, so killing them off can not possibly solve anything, or it can solve and temporary problem but lead to a permanent disaster.
ReplyDeleteI don't believe in killing animals in the first place but this is just plain out wrong. why would you kill such a loved animal for sport. This is what happens when you have a lot of money and time

ReplyDeleteThis is just wrong. This is unbelievable. Why do these people think this is right? Killing animals in my mind is not right. I don't even like the fact that we eat animals, but it's part of our life style. Animals are meant to be on this earth. This may stop this for now, but it will come right back.
ReplyDeleteFIrst of all, I don't even see how these people find killing innocent beings remotely entertaining. Second, if humans have the right to walk the earth, then so do the animals. They didn't do anything to these hunters and they never would have if they hadn't come into the animals' lives anyways.
