The article above describes the effect the 9/11 tribute in New York has on birds. The article states that birds are attracted to the light and they swarm it until they either get confused or they crash into buildings. They have said that this has been going on for years and that they have had many birds die from it.
This is so random and absurd. The article even stated that they would have to turn it off for a good 20 minutes so the birds would disperse. I think it is crazy that they had scientists on the roofs of buildings trying to calculate how many birds were up there. There is a short clip in the article that someone posted and it's absolutely nuts how many birds swarm the lights.
