Two americans were lost in a plane crash a few days ago. The couple, living in New York at the time were on a flight from Rochester, New York to Naples, Florida when something went wrong on board. The air traffickers lost connection with the plane over North Carolina. The plane flew for hours and ended up crashing in Jamaica. At one point fighter jet pilots were flying along side the air plane. On of the pilots reported that the aircraft pilot was hunched over but that he could see the pilot was breathing. After some investigation The North American Aerospace Defense Command said that they might have suffered from hypoxia, or loss of oxygen in the aircraft. After a long search from both U.S. and Jamaican crews, nothing was found and the search was called off.
This article was written by Ralph Ellis, Faith Karimi and Greg Botelho, all of CNN news. This article was primarily written to notify the public, and you may also consider it a eulogy, or commemoration to the prominent couple that was lost on board. The most interesting thing to me about this article is that we fly on airplanes all the time. most of the time when I get on one I don't think, what if something goes wrong? I am thinking about the exciting trip that awaits me. After reading this article I might think twice about taking a flight somewhere. Even with the great connivence it has given us.

ReplyDeleteThis is a great example of what negative things the news can due to us. The news and society is constantly focused on tragedy and this results in us living in fear. Accidents will always happen and the only thing we can do is prepare the best we can but we cannot live our lives in fear, you would be missing out on a lively life that we have the opportunity to have.
