Police officers find three dead infants at home in Massachusetts. The house was in such a horrible condition the officers had to wear hazmat suits. Though officers found it difficult to describe just how disgusting the house was, they said it was filled with insects and piles of diapers and feces. The suspect and mother, Erika Murray, was charged with two counts of permitting substantial injury to a child, intimidation of a witness, cruelty to an animal and violating an abuse prevention order. She plead not guilty to all. The most eerie part of the entire story is that long term boyfriend, Ray Rivera, is said to not have any knowledge of two of the four children or the three infants death.
This story left me feeling frustrated at the incompetent, cruel parents and many questions. Most importantly, how could a parent fail to notice his children's death? And, how could this boyfriend live under the same roof and not be aware that his girlfriend had given birth to two other children? The mental state of Erika is very questionable along with this case.
