"The British connection to ISIS beheadings" By Sam Schaffer
ISIS has taken a third victim. On Saturday, September 13, the terrorist organization released a third execution video- titled, 'A Message to the Allies of America'. Directed towards the UK and its Prime Minister, David Cameron, it depicts the beheading of British humanitarian worker David Haines.
The video, following a script that was near-identical to the previous two, drew a hasty response from Cameron as he assembled a security team in the early hours of Sunday morning. Apparently, United Kingdom analysts have deduced the identity of the executioner (who has a noticeable London accent) and know that he works within a British ISIS cell known as 'The Beatles' by captives. This cell has been responsible for the kidnappings of other British citizens, and the masked killer's association with the cell has led to his nickname by the press, 'Jihadi John', for the Beatles member John Lennon.
The video and the British ethnicity of the killer are reminders of the numbers of ISIS foreign recruits from the UK as opposed to the US; the group draws 25 times more volunteer recruits from the United Kingdom than from the United States- 500 British citizens have traveled to Syria as opposed to 100 Americans. British authorities have arrested 69 citizens for participating in terrorist-related activities in the homeland. In total, including other European and North American (Canada) countries, ISIS has received approximately 2,740 recruits from Western nations.
At this point, with ISIS having taken its third victim and having announced a fourth for execution, the only real chance to save the lives of the hostages may be a rescue operation. With Obama's coalition offensive on the horizon, the increased number of airstrikes could lead to an increase in killings; a prompt attempt to rescue the hostages is the best idea.

Something needs to be done about this. This is the third hostage that has been killed and if they have more I'm sure it won't be the last if we don't do something

Dang... this isn't something that our government should just stand around and watch.

This is horrible, and unacceptable in the modern world. The beheadings of innocents, especially HUMANITARIAN WORKERS, who came to the country to help the people affected by the conflict, is disgusting. However, we cannot allow ISIS to goad the US into another conflict which will swell their numbers with anti-West supporters and lead to a war in which THOUSANDS, not just 4 or 5, people will die.
