Earlier this week there was a hacker that sent a virus into the obamacare website and government facility. The officials claim that nothing was stolen and that they caught it before it could do any damage. They said that the part that was hacked into did not contain any personal information and posed no real threat.
Personally I think this is really frightening. The fact that the skill of hackers has gotten to the point where a GOVERNMENT WEBSITE is no longer safe is astonishing. This is a string of incidents, first Apple and now the government. It is truly sickening to no longer have any faith in personal security of any kind, from photos to social security. Also how can we be sure that nothing important was stolen? Last time I checked the people of the HHS are not always the most honest. This reminds me of the cold war in the since that spies seem to be everywhere.
I agree with your analysis. The fact that the government security sysetem isn't even safe is concerning. Glad too much damage wasn't done...
ReplyDeleteThis worries me also, the idea that hackers can reach a government website when I can't even go on shopping websites at lunch. I hope they can identify who tried to do it.
