Manhunt Under Way After Trooper Shot- Sophia Maas 2nd period

Two Pennsylvania State Police troopers were shot Friday night, one fatal, the other rushed to the hospital. "They were ambushed outside the police barracks in Blooming Grove", said Commissioner Frank Noonan.
"Cpl. Bryon K. Dickson was killed, Trooper Alex T. Douglass is in stable but critical condition", Noonan again informs the public. It was said to be a "cowardly attack", that they had no chance in defending themselves. "Every attack on an officer of the law is an attack on our state, our country and civilized society, Gov. Tom Corbett stated." All flags will fly at half staff to honor Dickson.
No arrests have been made but a "person of interest" has been interviewed. There is also no description of the shooter or any information about why they had done this. They believe that this attack has been "directed particularly at the Pennsylvania State Police," and for the residents to be cautious.
They have set a $20,000 reward for any information that would lead to the arrest and conviction of the suspect. "The nonprofit group Pennsylvania Crime Stoppers said it's offering a $50,000 reward."

This article was written by Ed Payne and Joshua Berlinger for CNN. I believe they wrote this to get some information out there about what is happening and what has happened, they will probably keep an update on all that has developed for this story.
