Young teenage girls have been attempting murders as a sacrifice to a fictional internet character, slender man. A young girl attempted to kill her mother and 9 yr old brother by use of setting the house on fire while they were sleep. The 14 yr old's justification for the sinister acts was that "slender man told her to do it." She quickly fled the scene using bleach and rum as a form of fire starting. The teen text her mother afterwards that she was sorry and I didn't know why she did it. This isn't the first time girls have tried to " kill for slender man". Two teen girls tried to kill their friend with a knife as a sacrifice with the intent to run off with slender man. Another teen attempted to kill her mother by way of stabbing. All of the survivors stated that the attempted murderers were obsessed with slender man and even righting in diaries about him. There are statements stating that there should be limitations on what can be posted online according to age but there is no way to manage the sophisticated restriction. I believe that there isn't anything that can be done for the obsessions and the girls feel lost for purpose and they are confused so they cling to a fictional character and have severe psychological  issues and need intensive therapy. There isn't really anyway to look for signs of a human coming out go the blue committing murders such as these until they actually occur.
