California Wild Fire Forces Thousands to Evacuate- Katelyn Cook Pd.3

The large wildfires that began on Sunday forced thousands of people to evacuate out of more than four hundred homes. 21 structures were damaged, and more than 3,900 acres were burned, which is about 6 miles of land.
There have been similar fires throughout the western states of the country such as Montana, California, and Oregon.
The audience for this article is the people living in the states currently being affected by these wild fires, as well as people living in states with dry climates since wild fires are more likely to begin there. The purpose of this article is to warn people about these spreading wild fires so they can try to avoid them. This is significant because these fires have tragically affected thousands of people's lives in the western part of our country.

  1. That's awful to hear! It's sad how people's homes were also burned and they had to be evacuated. Imagine all of their personal items, and memories....just gone. I hope they're okay!

  2. This is really tragic! Hopefully this will call attention to the most unpredictable enemy there is: Mother Nature.

  3. This is so crazy! I know that this is still an ongoing problem and has been for a long some time, but the fact that people were evacuated from more than four hundred homes is truly devastating. I hope them all the best and that they recover as quickly as possible!

  4. Wow. This is so sad. I don't know how I would manage my house burning down. Wildfires are a common problem these days. I hope they can quickly recover.
