President Trump's newest judiciary nominee for law clerk, Brett Joseph Talley, is a ghost hunter. He is also the author of several horror books and has never tried a case in his life. On top of this unique information, he had also expressed some interesting opinions after the Newtown, Conn., massacre in a blog post called “A Call to Arms: It’s Time to Join the National Rifle Association.”. The way Senator Dianne Feinstein put it sums up my worries perfectly; “I have never seen anyone in 24 years before this committee with the strong statements that you have made on weapons. And when I think of what just happened in Las Vegas, it makes it very difficult for me.” He is one of four of President Trump's nominees to be deemed "not qualified'' by the American Bar Association, and its not hard to see why. One of the valuable pieces of information he put on his resume for the Senate Judiciary Committee was that he was a member of the Tuscaloosa Paranormal Research Group for two years.
In conclusion, I think President Trump's choice is a odd but not surprising when you look at his past judgement. As one scientist and historian of science put it “I don't think it’s a good sign that a judge would embrace the reality of ghosts. What other parts of modern science would he be willing to reject? Climate change? Darwin's theory of evolution?”

Isabella Hambleton-Black Friday gun sales
This years Black Friday brought in some of the highest gun sales ever. This many gun sales means more FBI background checks on every individual that purchased these guns. One store stated that their highest selling gun was a pistol designed for home defense. With Trump in office, more gun sales have proceeded to happen. Even though these gun sales are being mostly used for hunting and safety purposes, you can never know what someone might do with it.
It's good that the FBI is doing background checks on all of these people purchasing these guns because you never know what they might do. Through these background checks, we may be able to prevent things such as shootings which have been prominent in out society recently. Doing this will make sure that the right people are purchasing these guns and not people that mean harm with them.

Gun Control Spikes on Black Friday- Ellen Fritz
The FBI requested over 200,000 background checks for gun purchases on Black Friday, an increase in last years record of background checks by 110%. Last year, merely 185,713 background checks were requested. The reason for the increase in checks for gun purchases is due to the fear that another shooting will occur. Fear of another act of gun violence, such as the shooting in Las Vegas. 2017 has had the highest rates for mass shootings so far, with 317 shootings so far.
Hopefully, the FBI will continue to request background checks for those purchasing guns. Congress needs to pass more extensive gun control laws in order to prevent massacres. People should feel protected by the law, not threatened by it.

Alycesandra Martinez- Tax cuts
Trump has announced last week about cutting the taxes, once people started hearing about this they started to get happy. Until this week the tax cut will only help the wealthy, which angered many. The republicans are trying to learn from what they say," A failed Obamacare". Many are wondering was Obamacare a fail or is that what the Republicans are saying. The goal was to kill entitlement programs such as Obamacare and that was a big problem, because many human beings relied on Obamacare. With the tax sketch there`s plenty of "wins" for the upper class, saving them a 4.6% of their income.
Trump should help everybody not just the upper class. A tax cut would help many people all over the United States. Trump thinks hes doing better and trying to help the people. He says that hes trying to learn from the mistakes from the past, yes that`s good but lets try to make better and let`s help everyone no matter race, gender, or class!

In New York, a man detonated a homemade bomb in a transport hub. Ullah, the man who set of the bomb, has pledged allegiance to ISIS but was still working alone. He had two devices, but only managed to partially set of one of them. The bomb didn't do all the damage it was intended to do. The bomb went of at 7:20am, during the most busy time of the day. Gladly, no one was injured, but a lot of people were scared.

Volcano in Indonesia - Lauren Rothert
On Saturday, thick ash began to shoot out of Mount Agung. Since then, authorities have issued the highest-level warning possible after these volcanic eruptions from Mount Agung on the Indonesian resort island of Bali forced the nearest airport to close, leaving many people stranded. More than 29,000 people were forced to evacuate from their homes, and around 59,000 were stuck with no way out due to the closed airport. On Monday, this volcano was rated a level 4, indicating another eruption. Unfortunately, on top of the volcano, the citizens of this area also have to worry about rain. The regular rain around the area of Mount Agung will cause an increase in potential lava floods, and volcanic mud flows are starting to become present.Even though the eruptions started only two days ago (Saturday around 5:30pm) more than 1,700 people have already been reported dead.
It seems like the natural disasters are never ending. I don't know how we have experienced so many detrimental natural disasters in such a short amount of time. I hope the citizens surrounding the area of impact were able to evacuate safely, and I hope the airport opens fully to help those in danger. I also hope we are able to provide any help needed to those who have already been affected, and everyone who is to come as well.

New York woman killed by hunter while walking dogs
By Elizabeth Joseph and Steve Almasy, CNN
Updated 10:02 PM ET, Fri November 24, 2017 \
Summary: Rosemary Billquist was just walking her dogs in the evening. She was shot by her neighbor, Thomas B Jadlowski, who said he mistook her for a deer. When he realized what he had done he called 911 and has not been charged with a crime. Police said Jadlowski was in full shock after what happened. I guess he was in disbelief that he was even capable of that big of a mistake.
Analysis: I feel like the investigation should stay on going to find out if there is something deeper rooted going on. I think there may be something else behind it and the case shouldn't be closed. But if not, this goes to show how easy everything can end. My heart goes out to Billquist and her family.
