Trump wants federal agencies to invest more in artificial intelligence. There are five pillars to his plan. His wants to encourage federal agencies to share data with researchers to make breakthroughs. He has also said he wants to work with other countries to develop it (putting America's business interests first). There are concerns about the consequences of AI. China, Canada, France, and more countries have already announced national AI strategies. In 2017, China said it had plans to become the world leader in AI. Trump has set no money aside and is leaving that up to Congress. The Trump administration says there will be more details in the next six months.

  1. Emma Burkey: If Trump has an idea for something, but no method to pay for it but giving it up to Congress, maybe he shouldn't be revealing his idea yet. He also better improve his relationships with other countries if he expects them to help him develop this.

  2. I agree Emma, Trump expects so much from other countries but he constantly goes around saying that he's only about advancing America and just forgetting about the other countries that can maybe aid him when he has these bizarre ideas like this.
