States don’t agree with the border wall -Madison Malonson

16 U.S. states have sued Donald Trump for declaring a state of emergency over the border wall. They filed a lawsuit in a Northern California court because they believe the Trumps actions are unconstitutional. By declaring a state of emergency, Trump gets extra funding for the wall, the lawsuit is trying to prevent that.  Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Hawaii, Illinois, Maine, Maryland, Michigan, Minnesota, Nevada, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, Oregon and Virginia, and California, believe that the border wall not being built isn’t a national emergency and does not deserve funding.
I think this is really cool and proactive of these states. I am glad someone is standing up to our president and letting him know that what he is doing is not okay. There is no reason to declare a state of emergency just because you didn’t get what you wanted.
