Maroon 5 performed with Travis Scott and Big Boi at the 53rd Super Bowl. Lots of people said that the performance was underwhelming and one of the worst ones ever, but that was not the only problem. Lots of performers were asked to perform at this Superbowl but turned it down because of the NFL's previous comments on Colin Kaepernick protest. Many famous artists like Cardi B and Rihanna turned down the offer and cited that Kaepernick was their reasoning. Colin Kaepernick kneeled for the national anthem in protest against police brutality. Many people felt that Maroon 5 should have backed out in solitude for the lives of unarmed black men that were lost.

The show wasn't THAT bad, but it defiantly was not the Super Bowls best halftime show. However, I am upset that Maroon 5 agreed to perform despite how the NFL treated Colin Kaepernick . - Madison Malonson
