Mass Shooting in a Texas Church- Ellen Fritz

On Sunday November 5th, a gunman opened fire inside the First Baptist Church in Sutherland Springs. Twenty-six people were killed in this shooting, and the main suspect, Devin Kelley, was confirmed as the shooter. Kelley is a former US Air Force member who was dishonorably discharged in 2014. The gunman is deceased, shot in a car chase with the police. The FBI Crisis Response Team is assisting with the investigation, and the gunman's motive is still unknown. The investigation to this act is ongoing and not all the information on the subject has been released.
This is another case of a shooting in America that could've been prevented with stricter gun control laws. I believe that extensive background checks and psychoanalysis should be completed before anyone is allowed to purchase a gun. Additionally, there should be stricter laws in place regarding the storage of guns in one's house, preventing those who do not own the gun from accessing the firearm. These kinds of mass shootings can be prevented if extensive laws be put in place controlling gun violence.

  1. Our government REALLY needs to get a grip on our country, for if it doesn't, then.... I don't know...

  2. Apparently an interviewed man spoke on this matter and claimed that a church is the "best place to get killed at", wow.

  3. Kelley had so many reports of sexual and domestic abuse, and this matter could have been prevented if people simply LISTENED TO the people he hurt. He never should have owned a gun especially after being put in a freaking mental health facility (which the escaped in 2012!). We definitely need better gun control, especially after the MANY demonstrations of how gun use is abused.
