As of 17 minutes ago, over 100 people are left dead after a powerful earthquake hits near Iraqi city of Halabja.
A powerful 7.3 magnitude earthquake hit Sunday (today) close to the Iraq-Iran border, killed at least 100 people in Iran, Iranian officials said.
Citing the head of Iran's emergency services, Iran's semi-official news agency Fars News also said at least 1,000 people were injured in quake.
Four people died in eastern Iraq and dozens were wounded in the town of Darbandikhan, Iraq. As this is such a current event, the city is trying to give news out as soon as possible, but at the moment they are worried about the safety of their people, as this has been such a massive impact on not only this town, but surrounding's towns.
Once again, this is such a saddening event, as earthquakes in my opinion, are the deadliest, as they can not be avoided with warning. This is scary, as they had no idea this was going to happen, and it shows that every second counts, as you never know when the world will cause disaster. My thoughts go out to the families of the dead and wounded, and I'm hoping the aftermath will not be as bad as it is seemingly.
