President Donald Trump capped his trip through Asia off with a meeting with Russian President, Vladimir Putin. Prior to the meeting, Trump had maintained a sensitive position on the issue, saying "I want to be able -- because I think it's very important -- to get along with Russia, to get along with China, to get along with Vietnam, to get along with lots of countries, because we have a lot of things we have to solve." With an inbound investigation, it seems that the apparent meddling should be addressed. Trump should want to acknowledge the allegations that Moscow manipulated the 2016 presidential election. In reality, he did nothing of the sort, saying that Putin felt "insulted" when the issue was raised. Without our commander-in-chief pursuing information on this issue, one would wonder if he wants the answers to come to light at all. Although each conversation was limited to little more than 5 minutes, Trump seemed vastly uneager to talk about the pressing topic. It seems that the only insights we'll receive about the issue will come from Robert Mueller's special investigation. With 3 of his campaign aids already caught in it's probe, the American people eagerly await the results.

It certainly is interesting that he was particularly quiet on this issue. If there was nothing going on I feel like he'd be quicker to denounce the "fake news" media for trying to bring him down. What makes this situation different?
