Bill Gates is spending 80 million dollars to build a futuristic community in Belmont, Arizona. This new city will have high speed networks, autonomous vehicles, data centers, and new manufacturing technologies. The real investment group in Arizona, known as the Belmont Partners, is leading the project and the city is going to be near Tempe, Arizona. Arizona is known form being technology-friendly. Major vehicle industries have bases in Arizona. This city is going to make many years to build and they call it a very long, and very patient investment. Belmont's developers are depending on Interstate 11 to boost development. They are not rushing to build this community. It is unclear how much former Microsoft CEO Gates, who owns Belmont's parent company Cascade Investment, will be involved in the effort.
It is very incredible that this community will be built in our country and it is one of the first futuristic communities in the world. I hope that the community will be built soon. This will affect our country's history because it will bring many people to this small town in Arizona and bring tourism where people don't normally go.
It'll be interesting to see people breaking the mold for how cities have existed for decades now. This is a huge leap for us into the future, and a positive piece of news in an otherwise dreary cycle. I wonder how they'll select those who get to be residents.
