A devastating attack that occurred in Las Vegas, is the "worst mass shooting in modern US history" that left 59 dead and 515 (and counting) people wounded. The shooting happened during a country music concert and when the gun shots started people first thought it was a sound issue, but soon realized it was gun shots being fired. Some fled while others stuck to the ground. The killer is was reported to have had about 10 or more guns in his hotel room and was found to have committed suicide when the policed arrived.
After the attack happened, groups like antifa and ISIS were taking credit for it as a way to publicize their own organizations. However, there is no proof with their affiliation and the motivation of the murderer is unknown.
With the mass shooting it has also raised the conversation of doing more than your "thoughts and prayers". U.S. senator, Chris Murphy, tweeted out: "To my colleagues: your cowardice to act cannot be whitewashed by thoughts and prayers. None of this ends unless we do something to stop it."
A GoFundMe page has been made and has raised over 2 million dollars. People has also been showing support by giving blood donations to the victims.
A similar event happened here in Texas at the University of Texas on the clock tower. The murderer climbed the Tower and killed 14 people and injured 31 others. The relation is almost uncanny considering both used guns/rifles and no motives were concluded.
