On Harvey Weinstein -Sam Blumberg

Last week, Harvey Weinstein, co-founder of the Weinstein Company film studio, was accused of sexual harassment of more than 30 women whom he worked with. Weinstein was quickly fired as an employee by the board though he still remained on the board. Just recently, he officially resigned from the Weinstein Company's board. Since his allegations because public, almost every other board member resigned, and now with Harvey's resignation, there are only 3 members left. One of these members is the other co-founder, Harvey's brother Bob Weinstein, who claimed he did not know the extent of his brothers behavior. Sadly for the company, most producers and writers have no interest in working with the studio in the future. I find this unfair because this was just one man in the company and most didn't even know this was going on. Also, the problem has been taken care of so there's nothing to worry about now. But, though Weinstein is now taking therapy and may not ever sexually harass anyone again, there are many, many other situations just like this. This is a big problem: the women are still scared of accusing men and the men are still getting away with it.
