Sunday evening, a horrific event took place. At least 58 people were killed, and hundreds of people were injured. This took place at a country festival in Las Vegas. A performance was still taking place when people stated that they heard "fireworks". They did not realize what was really going on until the music stopped, and the stage lights were turned off. There were three different bursts/shootings. (with short "breaks"/pauses in between) People scrambled to the exits, and others crouched down in hopes of hiding from the gunman. The gunman was found on the 32nd floor of Mandaly Bay Resort and Casino. Police later found that the gunman was named Stephen Paddock. He had no prior criminal history, and his motives are not clear. Police believe that he killed himself before they (the police) entered.
This event has been classified as one of the deadliest mass shootings in American history. This is very important to know and be aware of. We need to know of the dangers going on in our world. This is not okay, and I pray for the families who lost loved ones.
