charges against trump's advisers - Joaquin Sanchez

Robert S. Mueller announced charges against 3 of the Trump Campaign's advisers today. He also laid out an intricate plan to team up with the Russian government to defeat Hillary Clinton. Paul Manafort, the former campaign chairman, pleaded not guilty to laundering millions for his own luxury. Rick Gates, Manafort's campaign adviser, was also charged and turned himself in. Mueller then announced that George Papadopoulos pleaded guilty for lying to the F.B.I. and was working with investigators. With certain documents released, federal investigators suspect that Russian intelligent services contacted Mr. Papadopoulos to gain influence with the campaign against Hillary Clinton(in the form of "thousands of emails"). Mr. Papadopoulos secretly pleaded guilty to the F.B.I. This was written by Matt Apuzzo, Adam Goldman, Michael S. Schmidt, and Matthew Rosenburg.
