Recently California has been swept with ravaging wildfires that continue to destroy lives and infrastructure. So far ten people have died as a result of the fires and more are expected with 100 being sent to hospitals with wildfire related incidents. Over all 57,000 acres have been destroyed in the arid state, and right now in Anaheim six buildings have been destroyed in its wake. Napa’s economy might also take a hit as wildfires approach multiple vineyards, though it is unsure if they will be destroyed since they’re hasn’t been too many evacuations being called upon, but the chances of it spreading that far is very likely. These fires spread quickly because not only is California an arid state, but its also in one of its known driest months, October with high temperatures and strong winds.
Written on October 9th by CNN this article is meant to inform those that can be affected and those curious of what is currently happening and what can be done to help. Recently natural disasters seem to be making a larger appearance, such as the numerous hurricanes that have swept through part of the US and have completely damaged and ruined places such as Puerto Rico. It might be a good idea to not focus so much on how we can destroy others and wage war and take down enemies, but instead at least give some attention to the forces that we cant stop by waging war or negotiating with, these natural disasters are serious threats that should be dealt with and those who are caught in the mess need to be attended to and helped.
