Alycesandra Martinez - Puerto Rico hurricane

People in Puerto Rico is still trying to recover from Hurricane Maria from two weeks ago. Thousands of people have been living without electricity and only a few thousand have water. stores are trying to save food and families are trying to make it with the things they have. Trump is going to arrive in Puerto Rico on Tuesday after many weeks have passed by. Carlos Mendez stated, " My people are suffering. This is a disaster." (the mayor of Aguadilla) I dont know what Trump is going to do, he has waited to long.The people in Puerto Rico do not have the equipment that we do here to help and recover. For example they do not have enough of truck drivers to help people that are injured or sick. Lets say they did but another problem is gas many gas stations have a low amount of fuel left. People in Puerto Rico really do not have communication with others due to the damage. any of the roads are not roads anymore, their is a lot of trees and broken off buildings everywhere!



Puerto Rico can be related to Hurricane Harvey and Irma. All of them were very destructive and hurt many families. Each of them were a catastrophe and very hard to recover from. I think Irma was better prepared then Harvey and Maria, but Puerto Rico does not have the help/ resources that we do here. I think that Maria will recover just like we did and they t have been united as one and i think they just need help !
