Recently, Haiti and the rest of the Caribbean nation has been attempting to prepare themselves for Hurricane Matthew, which is closing in early on Tuesday. The winds within the storm reach up to 145-mph. They have already killed three people and caused things like cruise ships to change course. People lately have been boarding up their houses and windows in order to stay protected from the ferocious winds. But will that be enough??
This entire event is something we, as a nation, have seen before. This is nothing to be looked over. I feel so much worry for the people along the east coastline. I, personally, am not sure how they will be protected from the hurricane. I wish the rest of the nation could help them out with this predicament, that seems to constantly appear. But my heart most definitely goes out to them.

I'm glad that we know about this hurricane ahead of time so that we can start to help those in need before it is absolutely crucial
ReplyDeleteI agree that this even doesn't need to be looked over. I'm not sure how they will protected but we can be prepared to help
ReplyDeleteThe news constantly reassures us that these people will be safe, but it's certainly disheartening when you hear that a few individuals died already. I feel we have a slight disconnection with these people because they're so far away, but I hope we will still be able to give as much help as possible.

This is very true, the event mustn't be looked over but taken a look at and realize how many life's are in stake right this moment.
ReplyDeleteI wish we could help victims of natural disasters out more. Hopefully in the future we will be able to track these storms quicker, and prevent all damage.
