    To summarize this article; schools and their student bodies have allegedly received threats from supposed clown. These threats have all been taken very seriously and police forces have gotten involved and have not taken it lightly. Police report that several school have been put into a lockdown state because of “clown threats”. Despite that police concur that these “threats” are a hoax but still caution schools and kids.

    Okay first off I will admit I have Coulrophobia like others have arachnophobia and always have been that way since I was a kid. Clown have found themselves a spot in society as a creepy entity; Creepiness has definitely been associated with clown in American culture, when the accomplished author, Stephen King, published his work It , ever since one wouldn't be surprised to see multiple scary clown masks stocked in stores for buyers around the time of Halloween.

    Now back to the issue with these recent sightings of clowns around the US, more specifically North Texas, the place everyone reading *this* calls home. Watching news in today's world can sometimes seem very far off and it's very easy to adapt the mentality of: ”Oh that won't happen to me”, but once a big new story comes to your pocket of the country things seem much more important. An example of this was the police shooting right here in Dallas, did it not seem bigger to all of us then anything we had heard in the past year. These clown sightings have definitely chilled many in the area. I think these clowns are a small issue, I think that there are some bad people out there, but I also think that a lot of this is just to cause mass hysteria. Although this clown issue may seem like a big problem, I think the bigger problem here is how disconnected we can get from the world. Its really disturbing that this clown issue seems like a super huge deal, but the Turkish kou which about probably about 15% of the people reading this article are informed about seems to be swept under the rug. I will conclude with: how can the people of this country be so unaware of the world outside our nation; It is our job as a nation to insure the safety of other countries, we took up that responsibility when we were appointed a permanent member of the security council.
