In 2010, Haiti was hit by a major earthquake, leaving the country devastated and in ruins. Over time things had seemed to be getting better except for the cholera epidemic. On top of all of that, the Haitian people were just hit by the most talked about hurricane of 2016, increasing not only the destruction of the city, but also inflating cholera based deaths.
The article below explains what the disease is and how the death total has gone up. It is so tragic that the Haitian people just can't catch a break. What little had been done to help them after the earthquake a few years ago has been made, effectively useless. Haiti is now left in shambles and people have been left without their homes. With an epidemic on the loose, it is even harder for them to recover. Something must be done!

Hopefully it will be easier for them to back up to shape. Someone will be able to help soon.
ReplyDeleteI hope that they get support soon. I think something must be done and that starts with awareness.
