Summary: Climate Change over the last three decades has caused the amount of wildfires in the West to double. The overall rising of temperatures has caused a lot of vegetation to become dry, thus making it more prone to catch fire. Human-caused warming as well as weather patterns in the Pacific are responsible for the lack of precipitation reaching the region. Another reason is the government's suppression of fires that stores fire fuel instead of letting the fire burn naturally. Warm-weather beetles feed off of trees killing them and the decrease in snowfall has greatened the ground's likelihood of catching fire.
Analysis: Climate Change is a real thing that has real physical outcomes. The rapid change of the environment is forcing us to keep up. We are constantly reevaluating the state of our land and we must continue to do so until we have found a solution. Something that we are aware of is human-caused warming, i.e. the excessive use of fossil fuels. This is extremely harming the environment and the fact that we are aware yet we are doing little about it is completely absurd.
