The United States made at least two separate payments to the Iranian government through wire transfer within the last 14 months, a Treasury Department spokesman confirmed Saturday, going against explanations from President Barack Obama that such payments were impossible. The explanations Obama were stating were opposing the actual benefits Iran were getting. This such event is causing a stir of confusion. Many suggest that it was put in cash to be more discrete with no way of tracking, could be used as "ransom" cash to free American prisoners, or even funding for terrorism.
This article was written today (September 18, 2016) and that is important with everything going on in Iran with wars and conflicts; the interesting thing is the money paid came from 2015 and August. This article was written to bring light to a situation that was kept in the dark. Why was it kept in the dark? No one knows. Iran and U.S. aren't the best of friends, so it is a little confusing on why there is money being traded other than the peace agreement made for nuclear weaponry. This relates to the French aiding the colonists because they are both trying to get something out of it, and helping to benefit themselves , as well.
