Mackenzie Bessner- Kidnapped woman calls 911

A woman in Ohio called 911 to say she had been kidnapped was just inches away from her alleged abductor's bedroom. "Please hurry," the woman whispered to an emergency dispatcher, according to the 911 emergency phone call. "I'm afraid he might hear me and catch me and he's strong." 20 minutes later, the authorities showed up at Shawn Grate's house. He was armed with a taser but he was arrested. While the police searched the rest of the abandoned house, they found the remains of two other bodies. Grate was charged with kidnapping and two counts of murder.

This video was very chilling to watch because this could happen to anyone, anywhere. People watching this should take this as a warning and be very cautionary. The abductor showed a record dating back to 1996 including abduction, theft, domestic violence, burglary, assault and drug abuse. He is also homeless and has served prison time. While this article has a negative tone, it sends a very important message. I think that this is a very serious topic and that it is right to inform people on what is happening.

  1. This article is very startling but positively informative. People do need to be extra cautionary and careful so that these things don't happen as often. 911 is very beneficial in this case. -Liza Kaye
