Summary: Hillary Clinton has been diagnosed with pneumonia on Friday her doctor said in a statement after she had to leave the 9/11 memorial service this Sunday due to her "Overheating". Her doctor told the press that she had been experiencing cough related allergies and was diagnosed with pneumonia during the evaluation for her coughs. She was given antibiotics, told to get some rest and adjust her schedule. Her doctor gave her an evaluation after the "Overheating" incident and she said that she was hydrated and recovering nicely. Clinton is due for a fundraiser in California on Monday and Tuesday, but they are currently under discussion.
Analysis: So with this debacle over Hilary Clinton's health and well being, she turns out to be sick despite her doctors previous statements. This diagnosis further helps the claim of the right wing conspiracy theorists that believe that she was sick. Who knows when the doctor would have told the press and the people that she was diagnosed with pneumonia, it seems like the only reason we know now is because of that video that showed Hillary fainting during her departure of the 911 Memorial. When F.D.R was in office, he had a pretty viable reason for keeping his polio disease away from the public; he needed the peoples' trust during such a hard time as WWII and didn't need people questioning his ability as a leader. I don't think pneumonia is so bad that it would restrict Clinton's abilities as a leader, since its curable, but I don't like this keeping the people unaware of important things mindset that our Government has. Yes, there are some things that we don't have any business knowing, but when it's about our nominee that may or may not be the leader of our country, I think we deserve to know their mental and physical health issues.This isn't just about Hillary, this is about any and all future presidential nominees, don't you want to know whats wrong with them before they control your country?

Great analysis, Elijah. I enjoyed your writing. I do agree that pneumonia is no huge issue, but knowing the full and HONEST health condition of our leader of the free world is very important to know.
ReplyDeleteI have actually seen a couple of the conspiracy theories about her mental health. It is indeed disorienting that political figures and the government in general try to hide so much from us. We as the people should have a right to know exactly who we are voting into office.
