Summary- Today there was an emotional tribute to all the lives lost in the 9/11 horror. There is even a story of a girl named Maria Frances Pullis. She was seventeen month old when her father died in this horrible tourist attack. There is also an emotional video that goes along with the article. This shows victim's families reading the names of all the souls lost. Also it shows the times when the events happened and a moment of silence. At the end it says we will never forget.
Analysis/Synthesis- The video and article was written as a tribute for the lives lost in this terrible event. I feel that many articles especially on the upcoming election don't have great significance in the long run, but this is something that will never be forgotten and as Americans we will never forget. This does connect to 9-11 because it is a tribute to it but also to all the terrorist atacks many more actually happened 9-11 but it isn't right to those people who died because they did nothing wrong and will never be forgotten.

While 911 is relevant to many of us, it was weird hearing my 12 year old cousin ask me if I was alive. Though I had just just turned one a few days prior, I can remember my Mom being so worried about our world and the future that I would have. I often ask how much have we learned from this tragedy?

ReplyDeleteHey Mikenzie, I liked your overview of the article. I really love how it acknowledges how people are still being affected today by what happened fifteen years ago. We all claim to know this, but seeing it speak and talk about how it affected their live really makes it real.
